Why do you think that Katherine wants a "normal brother," and can't accept who he is or what he does? In a way, he care for david, but could show a lot more respect? Would you respect David if he was your brother? Why or why not?
No offense to the people out there with autism, but I personally would get extremely irritated by David if he was my brother. I get mad pretty darn quick, but I usually try to show respect to everyone around me.
If I was saying it I would say no. I would not be irritated. But if I was actually in that situation I probably would. It would probably be embarrassing to have your friends see your brother has "not normal"

I agree, It would be embarrassing, but you could immidiately start bickering with them to defend David...
