Expectations
At the beginning of the story, Manolo says that there are three things expected of him, but no one had to tell him what they were. Have you ever had that happen - where you knew you were supposed to do or not do a certain thing, or behave in a certain way, even though no one told you that? You just knew? It reminded me of college. I mean, when I was a kid I always knew I was supposed to go to college even though no one ever said it. It was just assumed that I would plan my life around preparing for a college education. Can you relate?

Yes I can relate. There are many instances where I knew i had to do a certain thing even though no one told me. For example every morning i know i'm suppose to make my bed even though i'm not told. i know that i'm suppose to get good grades without anyone telling me. There are many instances in life where this happens
Yes I can relate. Everyday I need to do homework but no one at home tells me to do it. I have to clean up after myself but no one tells me to, I just know I need to.
