Bullfighting
Maybe people fight bulls because it gives them a sense that they are cheating death, so in some small way they have control over it. If the whole community wants to believe that bullfighters can cheat death, why would a man killed by a bull live on in legend, and not someone who never lost a fight?

I do not understand this question. Could you explain the question to me?
Everyone in the community has so much respect for Manolo's father. But, his father was actually killed in a bullfight. Why wouldn't they honor someone who had been successful? Someone who hadn't died fighting?
