Why do you think erik always trying to hurt someone r doing bad stuff and doesnt care alot about paul after hes done to him like making him blind making people to look into pauls football dream not pauls soccer future ?
It seems to me that Erik and his parents are so swept up in the "football dream" that they have stopped paying attention to anything else. Erik is so self-centered that he's forgotten that his actions have consequences. It's not that he intends to hurt people, but that he doesn't even notice when he does.
