Boy, this is an interesting question. In the start of the book I was wondering the same thing. How did Amy end up going to a dog center? She seemed so inisint. I thought for Amy to earn her place in the center she must of been inisent and someone else had lied for her to get in, instead of them.
At first, I thought that Amy might have been volunteering because she likes dogs and wants to help kids with anger management, but I am not sure why she really would want to be with a bunch of kids that are forcibly under court orders to take care of dogs that are worse than them and could bite them in an instant.
