There is a bit of discussion in the first chapter regarding rules - why does Mrs. Kaplan follow rules so strictly while Uncle Alexander does not? Is it a good thing that Alexander doesn't follow rules?
"Time is not money, Mrs. Kaplan. Time wasted is often time well spent. Money wasted is merely redistributed." -Uncle Alexander
Margaret Rose often writes her thoughts in outline format. Does this help you to understand the book? Do you prefer this technique? What does this say about Margaret?
Margaret is treated rudely and bulied by fellow campers. Does this kind of bullying occur commonly? Is Margaret's response to bullying a good one? What would you do in her situation?

I Margret is yes, a little bit rude. But I think she does not have the mood to do mind less activities with people she does not enjoy.
I also think that her uncle is very laid back and ok with a lot of things.
