Why are they outcasts?

Joe refers to several of his friends as outcasts. Why do you think this is? What makes this group of students outcasts?

they are misfits not out cast's after this book we have to read "Misfits" cause it's the same story but he has friends and they do a lot of things together

They are outcasts because they all have something about one another that no one in the school don't at all respect.

well i do think they are not they just dont go with the popular flow like everyone else and they're not afraid to show who they really are and thats good but not common so thats why people call them outcasts
