The Land, the land

Why is the land so important to the Logans?

Why was it so unusual for black families at the time to own land?

I think that the Logens want the land because they are white people.

I would say that the Logans think the land is so important to them because it's been in their family for generations. Also, the Logans are the only black family to own such a big piece of land. Plus, on their land there was probably a lot of vegtables growing, which would keep the Logan family from buying things at Mr Morrisons' store. But maybe the Logans lost a lot of corn while the fire happened.
